Social Day 2015
Social Day 2015 was held on April 18, in coordination with the entire Italian network and with the participation of almost 8,000 young people, 2,000 of whom came from Padua and Treviso. The funds raised on Social Day in these territories, equal to 12,975 euros , out of a national figure of 79,500 euros, were allocated as follows:
- 10%, in support of a project common to all the realities that carry out the Social Day in Italy of the Free Association-association, names and numbers against the mafias;
- 45%, to the financing of the project “Desplazando la violencia – The colors of the Buen Vivir” of the Escuela Viajera Foundation of Bogotà – Colombia (partner of NATs for … Onlus) for the creation and strengthening of community networks among the populations victims of the conflict;
- The remaining 45%, to support the “Solar energy and agriculture in the Mekhé area” project, in Senegal, promoted by the peasant organization Union des Groupements Paysans de Mekhé (partner of Fratelli dell’Uomo Onlus), for the development of agriculture through the establishment of a water network powered by solar energy systems.
