Financial education

Financial education is a more than ever growing need not only for frail families but for the whole social fabric; this is why Kirikù underwent a training path which equipped some educators of the cooperative with

  • A certificate for the provision of a financial education service in accordance with the norm UNI 11402.

The UNI 11402 is a good quality technical norm dedicated to the quality financial education that defines the requirements for the planning, realisation, emanation, and evaluation of the financial education activities of the citizens/workers as well as the requirements for the persons that supply the service. Quality is, in short, a key role in tutelating the interests of businesses and consumers, this aimed at protecting the environment and the resources since they express the greatest general level of interest towards a product, process, or service.

The Kirikù cooperative strongly believes that financial education can contribute to combat the different forms of poverty and fragility while supplying tools useful to face and comprehend the material poverty, both the one determined by insufficient income and the educational one tied to the poor literacy that prevents a conscious evaluation of the family economy.

Financial education also represents an effort to upgrade some local systems of welfare, through the implementation and innovation of the social working practises and the drive towards a multidisciplinary approach. An outflow of resources that becomes, on a social policies level, an investment in empowering both individuals and the community.

In this regard public authorities supervise Welfare; this becomes a Welfare that can protect and assist by helping citizens who are already in trouble, and that can also supply and promote tools that prevent disadvantage, hence avoiding future fall into poverty. Quality financial education is a promotional welfare tool that public administrations can choose to employ.

The Cooperative makes available its financial educators certified for:

  • Spreading a culture of financial awareness, often believed to be a topic accessible to only a few insiders, bringing it closer to citizens and social workers that will benefit from while applying on both their personal life and on the lives of people they help;
  • Carry out training activities while dealing with key issues in the economic and financial planning that accompany them on their daily work;
  • Accompany people with fragility on a path of awareness and analysis that allows for an easies economical planning and its consequent autonomy of individuals and families.
